Benefit of using mono‑material packaging

Mono‑material packaging uses only one type of plastic throughout the entire component, making it far easier to recycle. PP, PE, and PET are strong candidates because they are widely used, durable, and compatible with established recycling systems. When all parts of the packaging—bottle, cap, pump housing, or tube—are made from the same polymer family, consumers don’t need to separate anything or follow special instructions. They can simply place the item in the recycling bin knowing it can be processed correctly.
This approach reduces waste, increases the likelihood of high‑quality recycled material, and strengthens a brand’s sustainability profile by offering packaging that is genuinely recyclable from start to finish. By 2030 the regulation will be stricter, but there will also be exceptions. The most important thing you can do it to think this through and be aware of how this will affect your products.
